The Hollywood star Alec Baldwin has revealed that he’s considering starring in a reality show with his family as he’s facing possible involuntary manslaughter charges for the death of the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on the set of his movie Rust in October of 2021.

Baldwin Sounds Off
While being interviewed by Kelly Ripa on SiriusXM’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” Baldwin admitted that he’s considering starring in a Kardashians-style reality show because he’s desperate to quit acting so that he can spend more time with his family. Baldwin, 65, would like to star on the reality show with his 39 year-old wife Hilaria and their seven young children.
“In the old days I’d jump on a plane and go to LA and do a movie here or a few episodes of ‘Will and Grace’ I did for a while,” he said, according to Daily Mail. “You know, different things like that. And it was easy to pick up and go.”
“They don’t even have, I need 12 plane tickets, you know, nannies, kids, my wife,” he continued. “I need like 11. They don’t even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane.”
Baldwin went on to recall a work trip that he took to Los Angeles, California four years ago from his home in New York City.
“We’d be in a hotel and we always stayed in the same hotel ’cause it was the only hotel that could put four suites together, so we could all live together,” he recounted. “And I look at my wife and I go, ‘You realize we’re not gonna make a dime, we’re not gonna make one cent.’”
“Here we are mashed potatoes, $20 room service, a diet Coke is $11,” he continued. “I said, ‘You realize we’re not gonna make a penny. The private plane, the hotel, the room service, we’re gonna break even on this job I’m doing.’”

Baldwin Wants Reality Show
That’s when Baldwin revealed his reality show aspirations.
“So everything we did and then… shows we have considered and pitches we’ve heard, and even one or two pitches we’ve made about our family and that reality show has all been so we could stay home and just work from home,” he said. “I’m desperate to try to work from New York.”
Ripa loved this plan, saying. “I think it’s the smartest thing. It’s a show I would so watch because you’re very ensconced in the Hollywood world. You are a world renowned actor.”

In this same interview, however, Baldwin admitted that he has “had enough” of acting.
“I’ve been working less and less and less and I’m home and my wife and we wanna travel the world with the kids,” he said. “I mean, I wanna show seven kids Rome and London and Paris and Madrid and blah, blah, blah. And we’re thinking about that now, where we have a different life in terms of work.”
“I really do think about, you know, I’ve kinda had enough, I mean, I’ve done this for a long time and I wanna have a private life,” he added.

Baldwin Facing Potential Involuntary Manslaughter Charges
Earlier this month, New Mexico prosecutors revealed that they are preparing to recharge Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter over the 2021 death of Hutchins, who was killed in October of 2021 when a gun the actor was holding went off on the set of Rust. Though prosecutors dropped all charges against Baldwin earlier this year, they have since concluded that the gun actually was not modified in the way that Baldwin had previously claimed.
“After extensive investigation over the past several months, additional facts have come to light that we believe show Mr. Baldwin has criminal culpability in the death of Halyna Hutchins and the shooting of Joel Souza,” Special Prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis said in a statement, according to Fox News.
“We believe the appropriate course of action is to permit a panel of New Mexico citizens to determine from here whether Mr. Baldwin should be held over for criminal trial,” they continued.
