Tate Calls Out Candy Thieves
Tate, who is part of the country band Whiskey Myers, shared security footage showing some smiling women leading a group of nine adults and children as they stole candy from a large black-colored bowl that was meant for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. The group can be seen stealing every single piece of candy, much to Tate’s dismay.
“And this is why you can’t trust people,” Tate wrote in the caption of the video, which has been viewed over 34,000 times at the time of this writing.
“If you know who it is share. I figured it would happen but not adults,” he added. “Now all the kids after these people can’t have any candy.”
Check out the video for yourself below.
Just hours before, Tate had uploaded a photo of the bowl full of candy that was placed beside a sign outside his home.
“Please take 1, Happy Halloween!! Go Rangers!!” the sign read.

Social Media Responds
Social media users expressed their outrage over the clip in the comments section.
“Those women should be embarrassed I’m glad you put them on blast,” one user wrote, with another adding, “Some people have no class.”
“And this is why you can’t trust people. If you know who it is share. I figured it would happen but not adults. Now all the kids after these people can’t have any candy,” a third user commented. A fourth person wrote, “And those kids are going to grow up to be just like those adults, or worse. Sad.”
The New York Post reported that Tate later took to his Instagram Story to show a neighbor of his re-filling the bowl with candy after the theft.
“There are still good people out there! Neighbor Scott for Halloween MVP!” he captioned this video.
The adults in the initial video have yet to be identified.

Whiskey Myers
Tate is the lead guitarist for the American rock/country group Whiskey Myers, which has been active since 2007, according to Daily Mail.
“For this band of renegade brothers, the goal isn’t to fit into a format or try a new direction for its own sake, it’s to be true to the music they love — and with Whiskey Myers they continue pushing in all directions and sharpening their attack, whether country, rock, blues, whatever — even adding the legendary McCrary Sisters’ gospel influence to the project on background vocals,” the band’s website reads.
“You can tell when somebody is faking it, and you can tell when it’s real,” added lead singer Cody Cannon. “Everybody wants you to pick a genre, but we did this our whole career. We like it all, so we’re gonna do it all. We’re better than we were at 20 years old — you try to hone your skills and get better, write better, play better. This is just how it came naturally, and it works better that way.”

The adults who led the charge in stealing candy from Tate’s home should be ashamed of themselves. We’re glad that he called them out, and we can only hope that they are identified so that they can be held accountable!
